Carrie Bruce
I'm the founder of Shore Thing Adventures, lover of meaningful experiences, hidden gems, slow mornings, country music, and the kind of vacations you talk about for years afterward.
Travel hasn’t always been a part of my story in the traditional sense. Growing up, we didn’t take extravagant family vacations every year, but we did make memories constantly. From sleepovers with cousins and four-wheeler rides to swimming, sled riding, and spending every second outside, I learned early on that the best parts of life are the moments you truly get to experience with the people you love.
As an adult, that love for adventure only grew stronger. I Eventually started exploring cruises, all-inclusive resorts, and destinations outside the U.S. Along the way, I experienced firsthand what it felt like to work with travel advisors who treated vacations like transactions instead of personal experiences. Always with rushed communication, missing details, generic recommendations, and little support once the booking was complete.
And honestly? I knew people deserved better than that. That’s the heartbeat behind Shore Thing Adventures.
I created this business to give people the kind of travel experience I wished more advisors offered: thoughtful planning, honest guidance, personalized recommendations, organized processes, and support that doesn’t disappear the second your trip is booked.
These days, one of my favorite parts of this job is getting texts from clients while they’re traveling! I love when they send photos from dinner, tell me about their celebration toast, or share a hidden gem they absolutely loved. Knowing I helped create those memories genuinely means the world to me.
Around here, travel is never one-size-fits-all. I believe vacations should feel exciting, effortless, meaningful, and completely personal to you. Because life is short, the world is big, and those once-in-a-lifetime memories deserve to be experienced fully.
And if we happen to bond over Virgin River, Reese cups from the freezer, back porch evenings, or a good country playlist along the way? Even better.
